Trainee Asbestos Analyst – Sellafield

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Asbestos Analyst at our Sellafield office. The role requires no prior qualifications as full training will be provided to prepare you to complete your P403 and P404 and become a fully qualified asbestos analyst.

  • Location: Sellafield, Seascale, CA201PG
  • Permanent, full time
  • Working hours: Monday-Thursday 7am-3:45pm, Friday 7am-12pm
  • Salary: Competitive + benefits available upon request

Skill requirements

As a Trainee Asbestos Analyst you will…

  • Have effective communication skills
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Work towards being conversant with current Asbestos & Health and Safety legislation and guidance
  • Be flexible
  • Be self-motivated and also able to work as part of a team
  • Have a basic competence in literacy and numeracy to be able to construct reports

The Role

As a Trainee Asbestos Analyst you will study to gain your P403 and P404 and work towards undertaking air monitoring including:

  • Background
  • Leak
  • Reassurance
  • Clearance
  • Personal
  • Other duties will include: Smoke testing, 4 stage clearance and test reporting.

Asbestos Analyst – Sellafield

We have an exciting opportunity for a fully trained Asbestos Analyst to join our Sellafield team.

  • Location: Sellafield, Seascale, CA201PG
  • Permanent, full time
  • Working hours: Monday-Thursday 7am-3:45pm, Friday 7am-12pm

As an Asbestos Analyst you will…

  • Be conversant with current Asbestos & Health and Safety legislation and guidance
  • Be flexible
  • Be self-motivated and also able to work as part of a team
  • Be competent in literacy and numeracy to construct reports

Essential qualifications and experience

  • It is preferable candidates hold a P403 and P404 certificate, or the RSPH equivalents.
  • Candidates holding a P403 only will also be considered dependant on their level of experience
  • Basic level of literacy and numeracy
  • Demonstrable experience in air-monitoring and within the asbestos industry

The Role

Your main responsibilities as an Asbestos Analyst will be to undertake air monitoring including:

  • Background
  • Leak
  • Reassurance
  • Clearance
  • Personal
  • Other duties will include: Smoke testing, 4 stage clearance and test reporting
