Project Manager

  • Location: London
  • Permanent, full time
  • Working hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
  • Salary: Competitive + company car

The role itself

The role of Project Manager is vital to manage sites and projects on a day to day basis, including monitoring and coordination of Operatives and maintaining compliance with Quality, H&S and Environmental policies, legislation and procedures. 

The role will involve:

  • Daily management of sites and projects, inclusive of the supervision and monitoring of HSE&Q of site staff and conditions
  • Co-ordinate with other management to undertake that site staff are aware and understand HSE&Q issues in relation to their work, that staff continue to maintain the level standards required to safely complete works
  • Deliver regular pertinent toolbox talks in conjunction with other HSE&Q management
  • Instruction on the safe use of materials, tools, plant and equipment to employees
  • Identify issues relating daily and ongoing site operations related to HSE&Q
  • Customer Account Liaison (Management & Client)
  • Assist Quality Manager in auditing & monitoring in the maintenance of compliance of standards
  • Assist in the undertaking site HSE&Q audits & monitoring visits
  • Undertake site inductions as required
  • Check employee training records are current and valid
  • Be conversant with site requirements (regulatory and site expectations), procedures
  • Undertake the site management and delivery of: Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Materials, Asbestos Air Monitoring and 4 Stage Clearance for Reoccupation

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • P402, P403 and P404 minimum for this role
  • P405 qualification optional
  • Previous extensive experience in Asbestos Management & Consultancy as required per site
  • Previous extensive experience in Asbestos Analysis (Testing) as required per site
  • Previous extensive experience in Asbestos Surveying (Inspection) as required per site
  • Previous extensive experience in QA/QC Supervision or Management as required per site
  • Safety Management or Supervisory Experience
  • Previous experience or knowledge in other environmental services (as required)

Skill Requirements:

As a Project Manager you will:

  • Be ambitious and highly motivated
  • Have effective communication skills and the ability to liaise with contractors
  • Be conversant with current Asbestos & Health and Safety legislation and guidance
  • Able to manage time effectively
  • Managing work in line with deadlines and budget
  • Effective Project Planning, monitoring and execution
