Providing the team with the full red and black strip and zip tops, as well as zip tops for their coaches, is just one of the ways Franks Portlock has been supporting projects that make a difference to local communities for almost two decades, through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

‘‘It is important as a company that we make a positive impact on our local communities and give something back,” says Anthony Winn, Franks Portlock Project Manager (Nuclear Services).

He adds: “It is especially important to champion our young people, supporting them to achieve their own goals and ambitions.

“By supplying new kits to Horden Under 9 Marras we hope it will boost their confidence on the pitch and achieve success in their coming season. The activities Horden Community Welfare Football Club and Junior Academy is doing to support young people, promoting health and fitness, is outstanding and we look forward to seeing how they progress.”

Horden Community Welfare Football Club is a grassroots community-based football club and Junior Academy, providing school-aged children with opportunities that they may not necessarily have access to or experienced as part of their daily lives.

The club’s aim is to help young people realise their potential, and inspire and encourage them to develop personal skills, build confidence, improve fitness levels, physical health, and mental well-being as well as promoting respect.
