Franks Portlock has provided a comprehensive range of asbestos services, including consultancy, inspection, testing and management, to the University of Sunderland since 2011.

The University’s portfolio of existing and newly acquired buildings poses many different challenges for asbestos management and we demonstrate our expertise in providing asbestos management surveys for premises which vary greatly in terms of age and construction. We also carry out refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys prior to modifications to the University’s existing portfolio of buildings.

In addition to inspection works, Franks Portlock provide asbestos clearance certification in the form of four stage clearance as outlined by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and HSG248 following licensed asbestos removal programmes and general reassurance air testing.

We provide ongoing support to the University offering general consultancy advice and delivering raw data to integrate with the University’s own management/monitoring systems to ensure effective asbestos management.
